Starting from June 22nd to August 21st, 2009, the DCFA will become home to a remarkable exhibition commemorating the pioneering spirit of surfer and photographer Leroy Grannis. His work encapsulates the essence of the surfing movement in the 1960s, with vivid imagery of the California and Hawaii coastlines. Attendees will get an immersive look at the life surrounding the sport – from the waves and boards to the coastal architecture that framed this iconic era.

Exhibition Curation and Additional Elements

The exhibition is meticulously organized by independent curator Cynthia Mulcahy. Complementing the visual feast, guests will receive a brochure that guides them through Dallas' very own surfing-inspired landmarks – a perfect summer adventure for architecture and surf aficionados alike. Although, note that the centre will take a short break on July 3rd, resuming with its regular hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays thereafter.
