Hot on the heels of last weeks’Dallas news post, we have a few more scattershot tidbits to pass along…

We’re big fans of Willis Winters, FAIA, around here.  (Who isn’t, right?)  So it was a thrill to see Willis recognizedat this year’s Preservation Dallas Achievement Awards.  The ceremony included a wonderful tribute filmproduced by Quin Mathews.  Robert Wilonskyhas tracked it down online and passes along this link.

Winters’ City Hall neighbors at the CityDesign Studio arecelebrating these days.  They received a$100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to work on a culturalmap of the city—how to build the city with specific focus on the arts anddesign.  Here’s therelease from the NEA outlining the heady company we’re keeping across the country.

Cultural mapping?  There’salready some at NorthPark LEGO-style.  This is your last week to go see portions ofthe Dallasskyline constructed of little plastic bricks.
