Making Your List...and Checking It Twice

Making Your List...and Checking It Twice

If you’re like me, the holidays have snuck up on you.  But we have some ideas for gifts for thearchitecture-design aficionados in your life. Or even a present or two to yourself.

There are a couple of online stores you won’t want tomiss.  Philip Johnson’s Glass House has a website that hasbooks, gift items and things for kids of all ages.  We’re eyeing thisgorgeous print of the Lake Pavilion…reminds us of the Beck House here inDallas.  C’mon…we’ve been good.

Chicago Architectural Foundation is another great place fora shopping spree.  If you can’t make itto their Michigan Avenue location, go online and choose between Lego sets, handbags, cool stuff for yourkitchen, and more. And even better news…shipping is free in December.

We also ran across these coolplace mats.  Maybe for thearchitect/foodie on your list?

Memberships are always good. Join Chicago Architecture Foundation, the National Trust for HistoricPreservation, or…closer to home…Preservation Dallasor the DallasArchitecture Forum.  (While you’re onthe Forum’s site, make sure and pick up several of their great architecture foliosfeaturing the photography of Laura Wilson.) Or how about a subscription to AIA Dallas' award-winning Columns magazine?

And CLOSEST to home, considera gift to the Dallas Center for Architecture. Help us continue the work we’vebegun.  Happy holidays!
