Historic Fort Worth, Inc. presents the 2014 Cantey Lecture and Preservation Awards.

Dr. Mary Anne Hunting, architectural historian,will travel from New York City to present insights into her recent book, “Edward Durell Stone: Modernism's Populist Architect” as this year's Samuel Benton Cantey, III lecturer. In 1967, Stone was hired to design Fort Worth's City Hall at 1000 Throckmorton Street. His brilliant career in architecture included many private and public commissions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California, the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and the United States Embassy in New Delhi, India. The 2014 Preservation Award winners will be honored at the conclusion of the lecture.

Wine and appetizers will be served.
