Alexander Mansion Holiday Tour This Weekend

Alexander Mansion Holiday Tour This Weekend

We told you last year about this time about the Alexander Mansion bedecked in its finest for the holidays.  One of three surviving grand homes that lined Ross Avenue at the turn of the 20th century, it is now owned by the Dallas Woman's Forum and they open it to the public around Christmas-time.  Now's your chance to see it.

We had a great time when we went last year.  Here are a few photos.

Six rooms will be featured on this year's tour: the writing room, library, French parlor, dining room, children's playroom and the upstairs ballroom.  All proceeds for to the continued preservation of the property.

The tour will run December 9-12 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.  Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for children.  More info at this website.

Later in the month (December 13-23) they'll open their European Tea Room.
