2012 Architecture Film Series Kicks Off with Film on Frank Lloyd Wright Restoration

We have great films on the horizon for our Architecture Film Series in 2012, including several Dallas premieres!  To kick things off, we'll screen an interesting documentary on the restoration of a Frank Lloyd Wright icon in Oak Park Illinois.

Architectural historian H. Allen Brooks hosts this documentary chronicling the five-year, museum-grade restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's Heurtley House, a wonder built in 1902 in Chicago's renowned Oak Park neighborhood. Created for banker and arts patron Arthur Heurtley, the home is noteworthy for exhibiting many of the elements that would come to represent Wright's signature "Prairie style."

The screening will be Wednesday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m.at the Dallas Center for Architecture.

As always, refreshments will be provided. A donation of $10 is requested at the door. RSVP to info@DallasCFA.com. (Wright-related films are always popular, so RSVP soon.)
