Fair Park "Twilight" Walking Tour
|Date:||June 24, 2015|
Tour begins at the Parry Avenue gate adjacent to the DART station.
First established for the Dallas State Fair in 1886, Fair Park is one of Dallas’ greatest assets and has been named a National Historic Landmark. In 1936, Fair Park was transformed for the Texas Centennial Exposition. Architect George Dahl and scores of architects and craftsmen created what is today the finest collection of Art Deco exhibition buildings in the world. On the tour, you’ll learn about this process and the individuals involved, as well as recent and ongoing efforts to preserve and transform this architectural gem.
Join us for this special evening walking tour of this Art Deco masterpiece. The tour begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Parry Street entrance gate adjacent to the DART stop. Register for the tour by e-mailing info@DallasCFA.com.
|Cost:||Free and open to the public.|
